dementia arts spotlight SERIES
73 Seconds, from En Garde Arts, is a multimedia performance that tells the story of a family coping with dementia. The show's creator, Jared Mezzocchi, drew inspiration from his own life and experiences with his mother, Rosemary.
73 Seconds tells the story in three distinct moments of their lives: at NASA, at the death of Jared's father, and in their phone calls throughout the last year. Although Rosemary struggles to recall the details of the first two moments, she still manages to walk Jared through grief and suffering.
